On The Home Front

Winter 2003

     Wow! Christmas time is the best time of the year. Jessica and I got lots of presents and were able to give lots away. One of my favorite presents is one Mom and Dad gave me before Christmas was even here – a real live hamster! I named him Spot. Now we have three pets, two fish and Spot the hamster. We just need to pray Dad lightens up and gets us a dog. That will be a miracle!
     Jessica turns three next month on February 5th and I will be six in April. Kindergarten is going great – I can read and write and count to over 100. My teacher told my parents that I am doing a very good job.
Jessica pretends to have homework like me, but she really doesn’t. I help her color and put puzzles together. Even though she gets on my nerves sometimes, we are best friends.
